DADE ART EDUCATORS’ SHOW OPENING
Members of Dade Art Educators Association (DAEA) have their works on display at a show that opens Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at Miami Dade College North Campus.
JACK D. GORDON ELEMENTARY CHORUS SINGS AT TEMPLE ISRAEL
The Jack D. Gordon Elementary School chorus will sing at a concert celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Temple Israel on Sunday, January 20, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. The chorus is under the direction of Dr. Katherine Driscoll.
NWSA AND SOUTH MIAMI MIDDLE CHORUSES PERFORM AT TRINITY CATHEDRAL
Trinity Cathedral was the site of a one-hour musical concert, under the direction of Albert Clark, Director of the High School Vocal Music program for New World School of the Arts. The performance highlighted Leonard Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms” scored for organ, harp and percussion and seasonal favorites such as "Winter Wonderland,” "Silver Bells,” and "Ding Dong! Merrily on High.” South Miami Middle School Choir, directed by Dr. Alan Denning, was also featured. This concert marks the fifth time the concert was recorded by WLRN for broadcast on PBS stations on December 18 at 7:00 p.m., December 22 at 4:00 p.m. and December 25 at 8:00 p.m.
MIAMI BEACH HIGH SCHOOL ROCK ENSEMBLE CONCERT
Miami Beach High School Rock Ensemble presents its Annual Winter Concert Thursday, Dec. 20 in the school’s Patio Courtyard, 2231 Prairie Avenue at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, but attendees should reserve space by calling 305-532-4515.
