Because educators in the film and entertainment disciplines are certified in many different areas, there are multiple organizations which are relevant for instructors in these fields.

Florida Association for Media in Education (F.A.M.E.)
The statewide association of the library media specialists. The association actively participates in the development of course work and certification requirements, provides an annual conference for its members, grants annual scholarships for library media training, support the continuation of resource sharing through the state’s SUNLINK project, and to promote programs which support the educational process.

National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS)
The national organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the arts and sciences of television and the promotion of creative leadership for artistic, educational and technical achievements within the television industry. It recognizes excellence in high school television journalism students with the newly created Student Award of Excellence to honor outstanding television journalism by high school students.

Florida Association for Theatre Education (FATE)
A statewide organization established to develop a greater awareness of the performing arts in schools throughout the state of Florida and to focus attention on the performing arts as an essential part of the curriculum and a component in the education of every young person.
